Based on the classic cake served at Café Sacher in Vienna, this is a very rich, dense, single-layer chocolate cake made with ground almonds, with a layer of apricot preserve. Topped with smooth poured chocolate ganache. Traditionally finished with ‘Sachertorte’ piped in chocolate.
This cake can be customised with the addition of plaque piped with your message. (If you take this option the plaque will replace the word ‘Sachertorte’).
Store at cool room temperature. Once cut store in an airtight tin or protect the cut edge with cling film or foil.
Eat within 5 days of collection.
