The beautiful Art Nouveau Facade and the original Fitzbillies cake shop remain after all these years.
The shop sells our Chelsea buns, freshly baked sourdough bread, an abundance of cakes, the Fitzbillies recipe book and lots of foodie gifts and Cambridge souvenirs.
Behind the cake shop there is a 90-seater waiter service café/restaurant serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and traditional English afternoon tea. We offer a vegan menu and lots of options for other dietary requirements and preferences. There is no need to book. We operate a walk-in policy.
In addition to the main café there is a counter service coffee shop, which offers artisan coffee, sandwiches and cakes to eat in or takeaway.
Traditional Afternoon Tea
After the Chelsea Bun, we’re most famous for our Traditional Afternoon Tea. Served everyday at Trumpington Street from midday.
Whether you want a Chelsea bun to eat as you wander the streets of Cambridge or a whole cake for a birthday, this is the place to go.
You will also find lots of foodie gifts, Fitzbillies Cambridge Marmalade, shortbread, fudge and chocolates, the Fitzbillies book, T-shirts and tea-towels.
Hidden behind the cake shop, the café/restaurant is much larger than it looks. The place to go for a sit down meal - breakfast, brunch, lunch or traditional English afternoon tea - with waiter service.
There is no need to book as we operate a walk in policy. A member of staff will seat you when you arrive, or at busy times there may be a short queue, but it moves fast and everyone gets seated.
Next to the cake shop on the corner of Trumpington St and Pembroke St, the Coffee Shop is deal for a quick pit-stop - a coffee and a Chelsea bun or a toasted sandwich on our own sourdough bread to eat in or take away.
Our coffee is blended specially for us by Caravan roastery in London and is widely recognised as some of the best in Cambridge.
