Our New Fitzbillies Bakery and Coffee Shop in Harston
It is a joy to share an update that has been rising in our ovens for quite some time. Early this summer, Fitzbillies will be opening the doors to a brand new bakery and coffee shop in the heart of Harston village, just outside Cambridge.
For a long time, we’ve looked for a space where our baked goods can be taken straight from the oven to the counter and into our customers hands. The building at 59-61 High Street (once the local Ducati garage) is being transformed into the new site for our artisan bakery, as well as a 45-seater coffee shop to serve the local community in Harston where you’ll be able to enjoy freshly baked treats, coffee, and lunches.
This move brings our craft, our bakers, and our community together under one roof for the first time since we moved the bakery from Trumpington Street in 2018. It’s the space we’ve always imagined, where you can enjoy our food whilst catching a glimpse of the bakery in full swing.

This is exciting for the whole Fitzbillies team, as well as being the next natural development for the Fitzbillies business. Harston is a brilliant location for us. We really hope to be part of the village community and contribute to village life. We’re looking forward to employing Harston locals, plus it’s just a short journey to deliver fresh-baked buns, bread and pastries to our shops in town each morning.
This year feels particularly momentous for us as we celebrate both how far we’ve come and where we are headed next. This year marks the 10th anniversary of our Bridge Street branch, and 15 years since Alison and Tim took ownership of the business. We are so incredibly proud of all our branches; each one has its own soul and its own community of regulars who make what we do worth it.

We can’t wait to welcome you through the doors and fill the air with the smell of fresh sourdough and syrupy Chelsea buns.
We would love for you to be a part of this new chapter with us. If you’re interested in joining our growing team, please reach out to us at recruitment@fitzbillies.com to learn more about our current opportunities. Please send all press-related enquiries to jenny@fitzbillies.com.
