Fitzbillies is a Cambridge institution, delighting town, gown and visitors alike with our buns, cakes and pastries for over 100 years. First opened by Ernest and Arthur Mason in 1920 with their demob money after the First World War, Fitzbillies has been through war, bankruptcies and fire, growing from the original Trumpington Street branch to a thriving collection of bakeries and coffee shops today.

With two classic flavours to choose from, both with the option of personalised chocolate plaques as a finishing touch, we’ve got you covered for birthdays, christenings and baby showers where a gluten free cake option is essential to keep your special guests happy.
For the richest of chocolate cakes, choose our gluten free Sachertorte - a rich, dense chocolate cake, made with ground almonds rather than wheat flour. Sandwiched together with a layer of apricot jam and smothered in smooth chocolate ganache, this classic treat has to be one of the best gluten free celebration cakes you’ve ever tasted.
Prefer something fruity? Try our gluten free lemon cake – a variation on the classic Fitzbillies lemon cake made with Doves Farm gluten free flour. Combining moist lemon sponge with lemon curd filling and lemon cream cheese icing, and topped with crisp meringue kisses, this pretty bake is the perfect centrepiece for any celebration.

All our cakes are hand-made to order in our Cambridge bakery, and are usually ready within four days of ordering, ready to surprise that special someone (or just to enjoy yourself). Our gluten free cakes are available for nationwide UK delivery and a fast local delivery service if you’re lucky enough to live near us in Cambridge.
